Learn basic drawing techniques with dry media (graphite and charcoal) with reference to the natural and architectural landscapes of Missoula. Learn to draw from observation, employing linear and atmospheric perspective; line, value, and texture; to create representations of Missoula's built and grown beauty. The class will focus on the cityscape and the landscape and then combine the two in a unified composition. Students will also experiment with alternate drawing methods, like collage, on a variety of papers.
