Rod Blackman has been singing and writing original music since age twelve. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, relocating to Missoula, Montana in 1997 to study Biology and Music at the University of Montana. He recently exited corporate America after seven years in sales to pursue his dream of being a singer songwriter. He is currently recording a new CD consisting mostly of original music. Rod recently wrote several songs that he is proud of after being consumed and motivated by his emotions through hard times and loss. His style is acoustic pop rock with a strong hip-hop influence. His lyrics are at times introspective and moving or at other times playful and sexy.
