Description:
Wäntage USA and KBGA team up to bring Total Fest VIII!
Who: 50 original, independent bands + fans from Missoula and the region!
What: a three-day, four-stage, DIY independent music festival
When: August 20-22, 2009, 8PM sharp each night, 12PM-2PM Record Swap Aug. 22 at Big Dipper Ice Cream
Where: the Badlander/Palace in Missoula, and Big Dipper Ice Cream (Saturday Record Swap)
How much: $38 3-Day passes for all-ages. 1-Day Passes available for $15.
Volunteer driven, Total Fest is the most smile-inducing, ear-plowing music festival that fans will attend all year. Organizers offer-up their time, money and sanity to stage, house and feed original and independent musicians. Total Fest is nonprofit and all proceeds after fixed costs go to the bands. This is the only event of its kind in Missoula and this part of the Northwest/Rockies. Total Fest presents some well-known bands, some lesser-known, and a handful of new and obscure music from around the country. The 4 (yes, FOUR) stages feature everything from punk to country with a good mix of regional and national music. As organizers, we are proud of the variety of acts and are confident that fans will enjoy this year’s line-up. Please feel free to help spread the word, and be in touch!

* All Three Nights are All-Ages.
* Wäntage USA alumni, Drunk Horse, Japanther, Le Force and Vile Blue Shades descend upon Missoula;
* Missoula old-schoolers, Thee Hedons, will reunite for Total Fest VIII; Local Acts include: Poor School, Reptile Dysfunction, Rooster Sauce, Wartime Blues, Tyson Ballew, Birds Mile Home, Electric Dandelion, Red Obelisk, Vera and El Zombe Gato;
* Ex-Fireballs of Freedom (Kelly Gately) plays with Portland’s Leaders!
* K Records’/Huntsville, AL’s Pine Hill Haints will play!
* Ex-Missoulians Razz M’Tazz, Socks and Sandals and Why I Must Be Careful play!
* Recess Records’ Underground Railroad to Candyland will play;
* Psych-Rock power trio, Wildildlife, will play!
