Description:
The idea of entering the nursing profession blindly accepting the current philosophy of health care acess is terrifying. The American health care system is a defective design, but there are plenty of solutions available. Our vision is to have a discussion not about how the system is broken, but rather possible soultions to providing quality affordable health care to Americans.
This event includes a free viewing of Michael Moore's "Sicko" at 11 AM, to be followed by a moderated panel discussion at 3 PM. Panel members include experts in healthcare issues: David Kendall, Susan Kohler, Mary Jane Nealon, Larry Riley, Ron Dewsnup, and Janice VonRiper.
This event is organized by 5 senior nursing students in the Montana State University College of Nursing on the Missoula campus. The event is sponsored by The University of Montana, Montana State University, and Montana State University College of Nursing.
