Participants will earn about color fields, textures, line, depth, color mixing, and mixed-media. From Michelangelo to Wolff Kahn, students will examine the pastels works of other artists. Surfaces, technique, and individual expression as well as fixatives, framing and presentation will be looked at in creative and practice always. Using forms in nature as inspiration, students will demystify the world of chalk pastels. Participants must provide some materials; list provided.
