When the family and zoo board a ship to emigrate to Canada, the ship sinks over the Pacific leaving only five survivors in a lifeboat: Pi, a hyena, a zebra, an orang-utan, and a Royal Bengal tiger. Pi must find the will and courage to stay at the top of the food chain in order to survive. Winner of the Man Booker Prize.
