Poets for Peace and Justice extravaganza to take place Friday, March 19th from 8-10 pm at Higgins Alley 424 N. Higgins (doors open 7:30). Peace and Justice activists and artists are called to join together for an evening of expression. Poets voices will confront pressing issues of our time as they speak out through their Poetry. This is the day of remembering the invasion of Iraq, the second Gulf War. This event is co-sponsored by the Jeannette Rankin Peace Center, Missoula Women for Peace Freedom and Justice, Students for Peace and Justice and Community Action for Justice in the Americas. Suggested donation is $5 with proceeds to go to a justice cause voted on by the attendees. There are still open slots for poets to raise their voice for peace/justice. Original poetry preferred but all must speak to the cause. Call 818-1111 if you are interested.
