After the Lewis & Clark Expedition, people began moving from the east to settle in our region. The early Indians in our region were then faced with a changing cultural and natural landscape. Dr. William Farr will discuss the Hellgate and Judith Treaties which laid the groundwork for relocation of Native Americans to reservations.

Celebrating the 206th Anniversary of Lewis & Clark's return trip through our region, Travelers' Rest State Park holds a three-evening lecture series reflecting on how Western Montana changed after the Corps of Discovery's famous expedition.
