Description:
All-ages and held in the Printshop (Last Wednesday of the Month) 5-7pm FREE (Please register so we know to expect you. Space is limited. Especially if you are coming as a group) Relief Night The earliest form of printmaking is the relief print. Starting with a flat block you cut away parts that you don't want to print until they are lower than the rest of the surface. Then, when you roll ink over the block. The taller parts that remain pick up the ink, which is then transferred to your paper, t-shirt or other substrate. In this introductory workshop we will go over tools used to cut the image, inking the block, and using the printing press. We will print a few already prepared blocks as well so bring a shirt, paper, or something to print on!
