Contemporary Piano Concert by Eric Moe, 1 PM, free.
Enjoy a summer concert by pianist/composer Eric Moe. Moe’s music has been variously described as “maximal minimalism”, “Rachmaninoff in hell”, and“ music of winning exuberance”. The first part of the program includes pieces inspired by song and operatic narrative. The second part embraces works indebted to dance as well. Co-sponsored by the Montana Artists Refuge.*
*The Montana Artists Refuge is an artists-in-residence program, in Basin, Montana. The mission is to support art at its source by providing artists a unique and fertile setting in which to create lasting works of the imagination.
