Description:
When: Mon, June 11 - Fri, June 15, 9am-5pm
Description:
Knots and Beads (9am-noon)
Instructor: Kyla Pellouchoud
Start off the summer with some hip new accessories, made by none other than¦YOU! In this class, you will make your own beads and pendants using clay, glass, and paper. Then, you will discover an array of knots that can be used with hemp, nylon, or other types of string to make necklaces, key chains, bracelets, bookmarks, plant hangers, and much more! You will also learn to make your own unique dream catchers. This class is open to boys and girls, ages 9-14.
The Human: Drawing & Painting (1pm-5pm)
Instructor: Garrett Bryant
This class will help train the child's eye to see as an artist does. Participants will be drawing the human figure and learning to recreate one of the most challenging subjects in art history. Students will draw from life (clothed models) as well as replicate some seminal figure studies in art history. A variety of approaches and 2D media will be taught and utilized spanning from high renaissance to abstract expressionist to contemporary forms of the human figure! Students must enjoy drawing and have a willingness to tackle the human figure as the primary subject for the duration of this summer camp! How fun for the drawing enthusiast.
Each Summer Camp is one week long, full days ($160 for non-members // $145 for members) or half days ($90 for non-members // $75 for members). They run June 11th through August 24th, 2012. Sign up at the ZACC Monday through Saturday 12-6 or online at zootownarts.org/camps!
