For March we've got a show entitled GYPSY MOTION. In an era when all things move so quickly that few people pause to consider the aesthetics of motion, this show highlights movement in all its beauty. By focusing on tribal belly dancing, whose roots lie in the traditions of gypsies from India through the Middle East and into Europe, "Gypsy Motion" freezes moments of motion for intentional observation. In addition to the visual art (in a variety of mediums: graphite, ink, acrylics and pastels), local artist, Chris Mathers, invites all to also enjoy the live motion of local tribal dancers, Leftover Gypsies. Dancers will perform at 6:15 and 7:30 p.m. Put some wine and cookies in your belly while you look.
