World-Wide Cinema
7:00 PM Missoula Public Library
Description:
Missoula Public Library will show a
screening of “The Violin” as part of its ongoing World-Wide Cinema program on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. In the
film, Don Plutarco, his son and his grandson live a double life as musicians
and humble farmers, as well as peasant guerilla movement supporters. When the
military seizes their village and the guerillas are forced to flee without
their ammunition, Plutarco uses his violin to recover it. The film is in
Spanish with English subtitles. Stay after the feature for the short film, “Un
Bisou pour le Monde,” in French with English subtitles.
World-Wide Cinema comes to the
library every second Friday of the month. The film screenings are free and open
to the public, and are intended for the mature audience due to adult themes,
language and sexual content. Doors at the lower level open at 6:45 p.m.
If anyone attending the movie needs
