Reiki (pronounced RAY KEE) is a holistic healing therapy that has been taught in the West since 1938. It is a gentle, non-harmful, Universal life force or spiritual energy based holistic healing modality, that is a complimentary modality to other forms of healthcare. Anyone can learn to use Reiki, regardless of age, gender, religion or origin. At the first level, you learn how to help yourself and your family in overall health and pain management.
At this level, you will learn about the history and origins of Reiki and receive the First Level Reiki attunements. The class is structured to learn and practice Reiki on your fellow students. The emphasis at this level is on self-healing. You will be shown basic hand positions, how to do a self-treatment and how to perform a treatment on family members and/or friends. You will also learn how to use Reiki on plants and animals.
Children 12 and older are welcome to attend with permission from their parent or guardian. Class fee is the same regardless of age.
