Missoula's First Annual 4th of July Lights Parade
Parade Theme: "Spirit of Missoula"
Find your patriotic spirit at the 1st Annual 4th of July Lights Parade! The parade will celebrate businesses and families, advocate for the future of Missoula's Midtown, and strengthen the appeal of Midtown as a place to invest, shop, work, play and live.
The parade starts at 9:30 pm (sunset) at 1600 North Avenue. Participants will travel west down North, go left on Johnson, and wrap around the Southgate Mall for a spectacular fireworks finish!
Now accepting entries for the first annual 4th of July Lights Parade! We are seeking your participation in what will become a wonderful tradition to honor our city, friends, neighbors, and businesses. Register Early! A small $5.00 fee is charged for each float/vehicle entry in the parade. The money generated will help to offset costs for security, traffic control, awards, and other miscellaneous expenses.
The parade will also feature a bicycle decorating competition. Bicycle entries are free. No float/vehicle entries will be accepted after Friday, June 22, 2012. Early entries are strongly encouraged. Bicycle entries will be accepted on parade day, but must be submitted before 9:00 pm. Bicycle registration starts at 8:00pm at 1600 North Ave (the Cherry Creek Radio/Al's Furniture parking lot). All entrants will be judged from 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Be sure to decorate yourself and your vehicle of choice with LIGHTS and other festive decorations!
