Understanding Sexual Assault for Community Members
9:00 AM YWCA Missoula
Description:
This course will provide participants with an understanding of sexual assault. Through a facilitated discussion, participants will explore how the media and gender roles perpetuate “rape myths” in our culture, the mentality of those who commit sexual assaults, and how to support survivors. This workshop serves as a great tool for anyone who is a friend of a survivor or anyone who works with survivors of sexual assault. This class will teach you how to be a better nurse, doctor, social worker, service provider, teacher or friend.
