1:30-3pm: Media Campaigns for Conservation Steve Michelson, Lobitos Creek Ranch Productions Presents: Special Focus: Creating A Shared Fate A Shared Fate is the heart of a campaign to make the public aware of the threat of environmental toxins to human beings, marine mammals and the marine food supply. A broad range multi-media campaign is the core of this project.
2-4pm: Underwater Camera Workshop - UM Grizzly Pool Led by Underwater Cinematographer, Genvieve Giroux Advance Sign Up required (limited to 6), $30/person
3:30-4:30pm: The State of Our Seas – Part II In-depth discussion with Rick Rosenthal, award-winning marine filmmaker, focusing on current conditions of the ocean as seen through fifty years of experience of ocean work. Watch amazing, just produced clips of “Superfish,” a co-production of BBC/PBS/WNET/NHK & Wildlogic. This session explores the fate of our marine environment: its current state and what we are doing in conservation, in science and in media to Save Our Seas
6-11pm: National Geographic Television Western Barn Dance at The Resort at Paws Up/Saddle Club Music by Shane Clouse & Stomping Ground Horse Demo & Western Style Auction Wear your best western attire! *(Buses leave from the Holiday Inn Downtown at 5:15pm)
