Griz V. Cats canned food drive

‘Can The Cats’ Food Drive Competition to take place against MSU Bozeman beginning Monday, November 10th
UM prepares for a victory over MSU and a victory over hunger
The Office for Civic Engagement will be leading the efforts to ‘Can the MSU Bozeman Cats’ in a canned food drive competition to take place on campus beginning Monday November 10th and ending at the MSU football game on Saturday November 22nd. All canned food items will be donated to the Poverello Center homeless shelter and soup kitchen. Missoula’s UM volunteers will be collecting cans at the gates of the Washington-Grizzly Stadium for the last two home football games on Saturday November 15th and Saturday November 22nd. Designated canned food boxes will be located around campus beginning Monday November 10th. MSU Bozeman will also be donating their canned food to the local Food Bank. The winner of the competition will be announced at half-time of the Griz/Cat game on November 22nd.

The Office for Civic Engagement (OCE), a department of the Davidson Honors College, was founded as Volunteer Action Services at the University of Montana (UM) in 1992. The OCE serves as the University of Montana’s primary agent of community activism and civic responsibility.
