The Zootown Arts Community Center will be having a Grand Opening celebrating all that is local in Missoula for the fine arts. It is an all-day-come as you are-Saturday celebration of Missoula and it's community artists. This will be a great chance to tour the facility available for renting for individual classes, lectures, group educational classes, and art parties! Discounts will be available from the Paint Your Own Pottery Studio. Sign ups for fall community art classes offered at ZACCʼs Creative Community Classroom will begin then. Many of the classes are taught by artists working at the ZACC and are part of the Independent Artist Collaborative. Other classes are taught by ZACC volunteers and board members. Original local Missoula art retail by ReCreate Designs, Slumgullion Publishing Company, and ZooCity Custom Apparel will be available as well as other ZACC artists! Jamie Halvorson of POR Gallery will host a gallery show and local art auction. Live music will be available all day and mini workshops will be ongoing. ZACC artists and their amazing face painting will be available for the kid in everyone. Food and beverages will be hosted by local retailers. This event is family and hipster friendly.
