Mission Valley raptors attract birders

Got cabin fever? Join Five Valleys Audubon to view raptors and other wintering birds in the Mission Valley. The all-day field trip meets at the UM Field House parking lot at 8 a.m. for carpooling or at the Cenex station on the south side of Ronan at 9 a.m. The trip is free and open to the public; bring a lunch.
At this time of year the Mission Valley draws one of the highest concentrations of wintering birds of prey in the western United States. Targeted species will include Snowy Owl, Gyrfalcon, and Rough-legged Hawk.
