Description:
Transform an old book into art - take part in Missoula Public Library’s Altered Books Artwork Contest this summer. Come to our workshop for all ages (kids and adults) on Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m. and learn how to give one of our withdrawn books a new artistic life. Or, stop by anytime and pick out a free book to take home and turn into a masterpiece. Submit your artwork to the library by Aug. 1 for display, and you could win a prize including gift certificates and art supplies. One winner will be selected in each of three categories: adult, teen, and child.
This year’s summer reading theme is “Metamorphosis.” For more information, visit www.missoulapubliclibrary.org or stop by the YA desk. If anyone attending the program needs special assistance, please provide advance notice by calling 721-BOOK (2665).
