Students will learn a structure to storytelling and construct puppets and masks with a variety of materials. Participants will be performing at the end of each session. Ta da!
Word Monkeys and Player Parts (1pm-5pm)
Ages 6-8
Instructor: Laurel Nakanishi
There are two separate sessions for this summer camp. Have you ever wondered what happens when you combine creative writing with drama play? Join us in finding out! In this camp we will monkey around with words and then set them into motion with creative drama play. Develop your creative writing skills by writing poems and short stories; develop your imagination by designing short skits, creative readings or movement pieces. At the end of the camp we will have a poetry/story-sharing event with family and friends.
Each Summer Camp is one week long, full days ($160 for non-members // $145 for members) or half days ($90 for non-members // $75 for members). They run June 11th through August 24th, 2012. Sign up at the ZACC Monday through Saturday 12-6 or online at zootownarts.org/camps!
