Join Noteworthy* Paper & Press as we welcome local bookbinder Audra Loyal, owner of The Vespiary Book Restoration & Bindery. She will be showing a sampling of her unique bindings in addition to demonstrating some binding and repair techniques. Audra has been constructing and repairing books for nearly 9 years, learning the skill in apprenticeship fashion. Her craft work follows a tradition hundreds of years old - all items are made from scratch. Her work was recently featured in the Nov/Dec issue of Missoula Magazine. Many of her items utilize recycled maps of different kinds. Featured in this show will be leather limp vellum sketchbooks, Japanese folding box sets of books, buttonholes bindings, stab bindings, and flag books.
