Sculpture/Mixed Media/Site Specific Art Group (1pm-5pm) Ages 9-15

Want to create powerful, interactive art for your audience? Unlike artwork in a gallery, installation art can take place anywhere and transform an everyday place into a work of art. In this class, young artists will learn about using objects, senses, and space to build an artistic environment. Students will learn about the traditional elements of sculpture and installation art and how the two are related and different. Students will work collaboratively and individually to create each, with a group project to be displayed publicly. Students should enjoy working with others and using nontraditional media.
Each Summer Camp is one week long, full days ($160 for non-members // $145 for members) or half days ($90 for non-members // $75 for members). They run June 11th through August 24th, 2012. Sign up at the ZACC Monday through Saturday 12-6 or online at zootownarts.org/camps!
