Missoula Quilters Guild 2012 Show
10:00 AM Big Sky High School in 3 gyms
Description:
Over 500 quilts will be on display plus the wonderful work of 2 featured quilters, Betsy Odegard and Rose Rademan. There will be raffles for a queen size quilt, fabric baskets & a "diamond" collection of quilting tools. The vendor mall will have the latest in tools, patterns & fabrics. Other activities are a Silent Auction, demonstrations and a Boutique with handmade items for sale. A concession stand will be open during the show.
The Missoula Quilters Guild was formed during the 1980's by a handful of women and today has over 250 members. Guild activities include monthly meetings, guest speakers and teachers, and community outreach. Our Quilts 4 Kids project is a special volunteer group using donated fabrics and labor to create hundreds of wonderful, comforting quilts for children in need through various social agencies such as Missoula Youth Homes, Missoula Health Department, Watson's Children's Center, Teen Mothers, the St. Patrick House, Head Start, Missoula Fire Department and local law enforcement. Several of the guild members have published quilting books nationally, and several members of the guild have created artwork for the Missoula beautification project (electrical boxes).
