Ever wanted to be a Chandler? No not the guy from Friends. Chandlers are one purveyors of one of the oldest and most useful of crafts. Chandlers are candle makers. Candles have been made from everything from beef tallow and beeswax to paraffin and soy wax. In our Intro to Candle Making class we will explore the past and embrace the future of candle making. In this class you will make two candles: one from paraffin wax and one from soy wax. Both will be hand made by you with help and instruction from local chandler and owner of Last Best Candles, Jamie Lawrence. You get to pick the color and scent of each of your candles from a huge variety of fragrances and pigments. Both candles will be ready for pick up a day after the class after they have had time to cool. If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own candles please come by the ZACC and give it a try, trust me it is addicting.This class is open to all ages!
