Turning The Tide
7:00 PM St. Patrick Hospital, Broadway Conference Center
Description:
Turning the Tide, a regional health education conference will be held on March 8-9 at St. Patrick Hospital. The public and healthcare professionals are encouraged to attend.
In its third year, the conference offers education and conversation about how human health is impacted by degradation of the natural environment. The 2013 focus will be on the human health impacts of climate change. Leading the conversation will be Jonathan Patz, MD, MPH. He currently serves as Director of Global Environmental Health at the University of Wisconsin and served as co-chair of the health expert panel of the US National Assessment on Climate Change. The morning will focus on learning about health impacts, and the afternoon on how we can learn to discuss the issue productively.
Join us for this unique, educational and inspirational opportunity to take part in a conversation about finding a solution to important health issues affected by climate change.
Please register and view the full agenda online at www.providence.org/turningthetide
Cost for the full conference is $10-$75, based on a self-selected sliding scale with Saturday's lunch included.
