Missoula author Mark Matthews will visit Missoula Public Library Tuesday, March 18, at 7 p.m. to discuss the early history of smoke jumping and the Mann Gulch tragedy. Matthews is the author of two books, “Smoke Jumping on the Western Fire Line: Conscientious Objectors During World War II” and “A Great Day to Fight Fire: Mann Gulch, 1949.”
