Description:
Viscosity Theater presents: "Crime dans une Maison de Fous (Crime in A Madhouse) By Andre de Lorde and Alfred Binet from the Theatre of the Grand Guignol.

Join us for a brutal theatrical experience that explores the dark reality of life in a mental institution in 1925.

Originating in Paris, France, Le Theatre du Grand Guignol (ca1897-1963) often explored altered states--like insanity, hypnosis and panic--under which uncontrolled horror could happen: what are people capable of, and who or what is the monster inside us all?

"Crime in a Madhouse" tells the story of a young girl who is trapped in an insane asylum, despite her insistence that she is sane. She becomes the victim of a jealousy fueled crime at enacted by three sinister crones. It was written by Andre de Lorde, a popular scriptwriter from the Grand Guignol, and Alfred Binet--inventor of the first Intelligence Test.
