For ladies and non-binary folk: a place to talk about comedy and stand-up!

Come to The Badlander on the last Wednesday of the month for an hour of women talking with women about comedy. Bring new bits, unfold notes on napkins, try out your material, talk shop, brainstorm a project, or just laugh and network with other funny women. We don't care if you've been on the comedy scene for years or if you aren't even 100% sure you want to pick up the mic at all.

This month we will be talking about how to start your stand-up set with a bang, and then we will be sharing one-liners based on misdirection (don't worry if you don't know what that means, exactly, we'll explain it). Finally, we'll end with bit workshopping, questions, and chatting. :)

Please invite your friends who may be interested, peer pressure others, shout from the rooftops, etc.

This event is FREE and happens right before the Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic at The Badlander (which starts at 7:30 p.m.). Stay to do a five-minute set or just to watch other comics perform.
