Gender Beyond the Binary serves as an activist and ally training focused on developing gender theory and developing the concepts of trans* theory, while expanding the awareness of gender diversity, individualistic gender identity and expression and breaking down the societal constructs of the binary concepts of male and female.

This training encourages individuals to think outside the box, to develop a comprehensive knowledge base of varying gender identities, expressions, while also raising awareness of the continuums of physical sex, variance in sex outside of the binaries and raising awareness of disorders of sex development and creating activist empowerment opportunities.

Our empowerment training encourages a strong understanding of gender diversity and of the individuals who transcend the societal boundaries and stereotypes of assigned birth sex while dismissing the common misunderstanding of the relation between gender, gender identity, gender presentation, perceived gender and physical sex.

The training focuses on providing activists and allies with the language and understanding of identity, while raising awareness of the stigmas and societal constructs which work to reinforce binaries and oppress those that do not fit within the binaries of sex and gender.

Providing individuals with an understanding of identity, of the social construction of gender and of the methods of developing awareness and understanding, we are in turn empowering these individuals to move forward in creating gender inclusive environment while creating understanding through conversation and public advocacy for individuals of gender diversity.
