Flavors of the World: Day of the Dead
Tuesday, November 4, 6:30 pm, $35 Missoulians love La Dia de los Muertos. Crowds gather downtown to watch a parade of skeletal celebrants riding bikes, dancing, hula hooping and walking on stilts. And this year the party will spill over to this evening's class, with the return of one of our most popular instructors. Gulsidel Velazquez, a native of Pueblo, Mexico, will share how the Day of the Dead is celebrated in his community and demonstrate how to prepare some of the traditional foods left at the altar to feed the spirits of the deceased.
