About Soon Kim
Soon Kim was born and raised in South Korea. She received her MFA in Painting/Drawing from Montana State University. Currently, she lives and works in Bozeman Montana. Kim uses the mediums of painting, drawing, printmaking, and installation to question the viewer's sense of anticipation, of reality, of familiarity, both in the authority with which she physically makes her work, and in the intellectual and political discourse that it engages in. Her latest exhibition is a continuation of the exploration of discoveries in science and the relativity of time in order to explore our body and human spirit in biological and emotional time.
