Essentials of Human Resource Management is an introductory course providing an overview of the major roles and responsibilities of managing the people assets of an organization. The course will acquaint students with major contemporary issues and challenges of human resource management and incorporate real life examples and practical applications in an informal, interactive setting. It is designed for business professionals who are interested in potentially pursuing a career in HR, for entry-level HR staff who want to enhance their knowledge and skills, and managers/supervisors who want to improve their performance in the areas of hiring, compensation, development, and performance management of their employees.
