COMPUTER CLASSES:

MPL offers a computer lab dedicated to free computer training, including classes on basic computer and internet use, downloading and editing digital photos, and more. Seating is limited as we have only six computer stations available, so call for a spot today. For more information call 721-BOOK (2665).

OCTOBER:
1st/3rd Computer Fundamentals 6:00-7:00
Learn about the parts of the computer (hardware), how to turn it on and off; managing your desktop and how to open programs. No experience necessary.
3rd EXCEL 12:30-1:30
An introduction to the basic features of Microsoft Excel, a spreadsheet program designed for the Windows environment. Topics include: entering data & formulas and assumes the student has some experience with Windows and using a mouse.
10th WORD Basics 6:00-7:00
An introduction to word processing including how to create a document, manipulate the text and font, use templates and a few fun tricks.

How to use the internet to effectively find what you are looking for; includes security tips.
24th Heritage Quest 12:30-1:30
Learn to use this online database to do family or genealogical research using U. S.. Ccensus information, online periodicals and other resources included in this great resource.
29th Online Job Applications 6:00-7:00
Learn how to navigate online job applications, complete an application online, copy and paste details to an application and attach a resume.
31st Resumes 12:30-1:30
We’ll teach you the basics of how to create a resume using our databases and basic templates to make formatting easy. Bring details (names/dates/contact information, etc.) on education, training and previous jobs so that you can get a start on a resume.
