Milltown State Park is celebrating National Public Lands Day with a full day of events to participate in. The public is invited to take in as many of the activities as they wish. Starting at 9:00 am, bicyclists can get refreshments at Free Cycles in Missoula and begin a group bike ride to the Milltown State Park Overlook. At 10:30, join Park staff in planting 200 Ponderosa pine trees along the Clark Fork River floodplain. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, take part in the Community at the Confluence event at the Overlook. This event will include guest speakers, informative tables set up by local Park supporters, food for sale, activities for kids, and local musicians.
