A witch lives in a world of her own making, the sole occupant (or is she?) of a remote cabin in the heart of the woods. As she recounts her life of magic, the audience is swept down a shadowy path somewhere between reality and fantasy. The crone, wickedly funny and frightening in equal measure, takes her guests back to childhood--when good and evil were first at odds. But this is no easy fairytale: in Broomstick, justice is meted out swiftly and harshly. This unique production is part of the National New Play Network's Rolling World Premiere series.
