Equus International Film Festival Description:
The EQUUS International Film Festival® & Conference gallops back into Montana this coming fall, September 18-20 in the historic town of Missoula, Montana in the heart of the Northern Rockies. Often called the "Paris of the west," Missoula is as much a horse town as it is a center of art, culture, great food, breweries, charming cafes and a truly western lifestyle.

The city where "a river runs through it," Missoula, Montana is a city of culture, beauty, and endless opportunities for outdoor recreation from fly fishing to rafting, kayaking to hiking and endless trails and forests to explore on horseback. The equine lifestyle dominates the landscape and horses are integral to the breathtaking scenery that surrounds the magnificent Missoula Valley.

EQUUS International Film Festival is the premier venue for award-winning equine film, television and all media focused on the equine/human bond, featuring stories, topics and issues that bring awareness and understanding to all things equine while celebrating the magnificent horse and other equines. Our mission -- education and understanding to enhance the equine/human bond and to improve the welfare of the horse through film, television and other media.

The very first EIFF was held in 2011 and the response was so overwhelming and positive, we're re-launching as a full-on event and conference this fall. Most events will be centered in and around the beautiful campus of The University of Montana, the state of the art UC Theater and the Payne Family Native American Center.
