Great Burn Study Group Exploration and Stewardship!

Description:
Enjoy the beauty of the northern Rockies and help protect public wildlands. Volunteers needed for a summer field project and exploration on a three day backpacking trip.

August 28-30: Enjoy a stunning view from the Stateline Trail via Hoodoo Pass and HeartLake.

Difficulty: Strenuous. Total mileage: 10.

We will be monitoring weeds, wildlife, trail conditions, signs, and other information critical to the understanding and management of northern Rockies wildlands. Backcountry experience is helpful but not necessary.

There will be a brief, mandatory pre-trip meeting on Monday, August 11th at 7:00 PM in front of the bookstore inside the University Center at the University of Montana.
