In this course, we will explore love--its manifestations, its expressions, and

its inconsistencies--through several lenses, including the psychological and

the spiritual. We will draw from, among others, Sufi traditions on love as

well as other mystics, mythologies, and religions to help us explore the

inconsistencies and the fictions present in love--both the deep, soulful love

as well as the more superficial love.
