BIO:

Vancouver, British Columbia-born artist, singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ, ill-esha has crafted a long-standing soundscape of electronic bass music throughout her career, continuously evolving her musical stylings -bridging gaps from Drum & Bass, Dubstep, and Glitch-hop, to Downtempo and Future Bass, always focused on her own artistic vision and authenticity.

The first female D&B performer to mix records, sing and MC simultaneously, ill-esha is recognized as an extremely rare and diverse, burgeoning artist in the EDM scene. Going to raves as a teen, ill-esha's career began early on, quickly accelerating as she began DJing soon there after. Feeling a need to be more of a participant and creator of the music she was playing, rather than just an observer, ill-esha's interest in electronic bass music soon blossomed into more than just a past time, evolving into a full time producer, singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and headlining performer -cultivating a style and stage show completely original unto herself. Donning, turntables, keytar, vocal looper, and other instrumentals integrated within her live sets, ill-esha's live show, all while singing, playing, and mixing live on stage.

To-date, ill-esha has performed at world-class festivals such as Coachella, Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Wakarusa, Camp Bisco, Earthdance, and SnowGlobe. She has also toured with acts like Bassnectar, Beats Antique, and Big Gigantic.

In the studio, ill-esha has kept her albums as diverse as her live show, continually evolving her style and sound. Early on her music centered predominately in D&B, before 2007's Perfect Curcuit which encompassed an eclectic mix of electronica and pop inspired by her "myriad of music tastes, and love for technology and nature." By 2008, ill-esha began producing music more synonymous with the glitch genre, and founded the Glitch Hop Forum.

Releasing 6 albums, and a plethora of remixes and singles between 2010 - 2013, ill-esha received continued praise for her authenticity and originality in the electronic music scene and beyond. By 2014, ill-esha readapted her sound and style again releasing Open Heart Surgery, an emotional and passionate journey of deep bass sounds oozing with heartfelt, sultry vocals over musically lush instrumentals.

As of May 2015, ill-esha released the alluring, impassioned Hyperbolic Space Crochet on Seclusiasis Records, injecting something really unique in the bass music scene, realizing her many colorful sounds and styles perfectly. ill-esha has also appeared with or had her music remixed by the likes of Mr. Bill, Buku, Amp Live, and Russ Liquid, and will release the Hyperbolic Space Crochet remix EP in the fall of 2015.
