PIR Art for Elementary Teachers, 9 AM-12 PM, $35
Teachers will view a selection of artist's Jaune Quick-to-See Smith fine art prints from the MAM collection. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the Visual Thinking Strategies, and the history and work of the artist, and how it relates to her Native American culture. Participants
will then learn a simple printmaking technique that can be shared with students in the classroom. Teachers will be given a DVD that includes information about the artist, and images and lessons
that can be used in the classroom. PIR credits are available
