Riparian Ecology and Creatures: A Walk in Nature
10:00 AM
Council Grove State Park
Come explore Council Grove State Park during "Riparian Ecology and Creatures: A Walk in Nature" with naturalist Christine Morris from Montana Natural History Center on Saturday, August 12th at 10AM.

Do you want to learn more about the riparian ecology and creatures in our own backyard? Come pick the brain of a Montana Natural History Center staff naturalist to do just that! Council Grove State Park is home to old-growth ponderosa pines, cottonwoods, great horned owls, osprey, beaver and much more, and "Riparian Ecology and Creatures: A Walk in Nature" will teach you all about the various flora and fauna found in the serene riparian area that makes up Council Grove State Park. This interactive nature walk provides an opportunity to learn about Montana's animals and their environment while taking you on a peaceful walk through Council Grove State Park.

"Riparian Ecology and Creatures: A Walk in Nature" is FREE, great for all ages, and open to the public. We will meet in the parking lot at 10AM before taking a slow walk through the park. Please dress for the weather and bring water. This walk is less than a mile long and is not strenuous.
