Frenchtown Pond State Park's Junior Ranger Program! Description:
Montana State Parks wants YOU to earn your Junior Ranger badge! This FREE event, open to the public, is geared for kids aged 4-12 who love to play and learn outdoors. Come and celebrate the great outdoors at Frenchtown Pond State Park, located on I-90 exit 89, just a few miles west of Missoula. Attend two events to earn your badge or attend all five for extra fun! Each event is unique.

June 21: Getting to know FWP and Super Senses! Learn what is means to be a steward of the environment and how to use your five senses to really experience the outdoors!

July 5: It Happened Here and Healthy Habitats! Learn to be observational scientists like Lewis and Clark and what it means to have a healthy habitat for you and for Montana wildlife!

July 19: What's up with Wildlife: Animal Olympics! Can you jump as far as a mountain lion, run as fast as a pronghorn or flap as quickly as a hummingbird? Come find out at the Animal Olympics!

August 2: Connecting with Cultures! Join us to learn about bison, Native American cultures and pictographs; all important parts of Montana's natural history.

August 16: Wonders of Water and Geology ROCKS! Learn about the fish in Frenchtown Pond and the rocks that make up the mountains of Montana!
