Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act by hiking to the top of St. Mary Peak. We will enter the wilderness at the 2 mile mark. This moderately strenuous hike will top out at 9300 feet elevation. There is a working fire lookout at the top, and the views are some of the best in the Bitterroot. 7.5 miles round trip with 2400 feet of elevation gain.
