Trumans Water snuck and squeezed their way into the temple of bent music during the early 90s or so, the weirdness was rampant up and down the coast (Thinking Fellers, Caroliner, 3 Day Stubble, and San Diego's Trumans Water). It was taking a page from Captain Beefheart and slamming that fucker into the punk rock wall, don't forget, the early 90's became pretty lawless and leaned a bit on free form and some controlled derangement. Trumans Water still put out kick ass platters (check out their most recent needle scorching O Zeta Zunis lp) and very occasionally play shows. Missoula totally lucked out because TW has a fondness for our tiny happy city. John Peel loved these guys and if you miss this show, I'll fucking cry, hard.

Paul Haines (Bugs) Plastic Harmony Band is a relatively new project with a bent, weird pop vibe, great hooks and I think Paul's half of the Bugs material is a great reference point. 2016's Voyage of the Angernaut LP was their debut, and it's a solid winner.

The Bugs need no introduction in Missoula, and are the best two-piece band in the United States. Vets of too many Total Fests and one-offs, and tour stops in Missoula to count, Paul and Mike make tune to make you happy, dance, cry and live.
