Book Club: "Hog's Exit" by Gayle Morrison Description:
Join local author Gayle Morrison for a lively discussion about her book, "Hog's Exit: Jerry Daniels, the Hmong, and the CIA." Call Cassidy at 406.728.0447 to RSVP.

Follow the captivating true story of the late Jerry Daniels, known by his CIA call-sign, "Hog." A Missoula smokejumper and CIA field operative, Daniels was a liaison officer between Hmong General Vang Pao and the CIA in Laos. He organized the air evacuation of Vang Pao and more than 2,000 of his officers and their families to Thailand, later facilitating the resettlement of more than 50,000 Hmong worldwide. Morrison stitches together oral histories and interviews with those who knew Daniels to reassess his mysterious death. This book club conversation coincides with the exhibition of embroidered works, "From Flower Cloth to Story Cloth: Hmong Textiles in the MAM Collection."
