The Big Sky Mudflaps are celebrating 40 years of performing together in the Missoula area! The early Mudflaps even played some fundraisers for early Northern Plains. Together since 1975, their unique sound - a lively blend of Rhythm & Blues and Rock 'n Roll - has won them wide acclaim, from the New York Times, The Village Voice, the Los Angeles Times, Billboard, Esquire Magazine, and many other national publications. The Big Sky Mudflaps have shared concert billing with internationally known artists such as Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, Dizzy Gillespie, Dave Brubeck, and Riders in the Sky. They have made several featured appearances on the NBC "Today Show", as well as on Public Radio's "Prairie Home Companion."

The band's concert appearances include the KOOL (Newport/New York) Jazz Festival, the Telluride (Colorado) Jazz Festival, the Port Townsend (Washington) Jazz Festival, the Northern Rockies Folk Festival (Sun Valley, Idaho), and the Flathead (Montana) Festival, among others.

The Big Sky Mudflaps have released 5 albums: "Armchair Cabaret," "Sensible Shoes," "Shake, Rattle & Roll," "Armchair Cabaret Live," and "Cold Duck Time." All are currently available on CD from Spud Records.
