Volunteer in Wilderness! Solomon Scramble Backpack, July 6-7
8:00 AM (America/Denver)
Welcome Creek Wilderness
Description:
Backpack Trip: July 6-7

This summer, the Wilderness Institute, in cooperation with the Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Bitterroot and Lolo National Forests, will take small groups of volunteers into the Anaconda Pintler and Welcome Creek Wilderness Areas. Volunteers will work with experienced field leaders to map and monitor weeds, inventory recreation impacts, and evaluate wilderness character. Join us in the backcountry of these spectacular Wilderness Areas in the heart of the Northern Rockies. Learn about invasive species, monitoring methods, native plants, and the natural history and wildlife of these majestic landscapes. Backcountry experience is helpful but not necessary. Dinners are provided. Transportation is available from Missoula and select towns in the study area vicinity.
