Storytelling is a transformative experience for both storyteller and listener. Tell Us Something brings that transformation to Missoula four times yearly and publishes a weekly podcast of the stories. Stories are true, told from memory, and are based upon a different theme at each event. This is the first workshop offered for the youth of Missoula -- the next generation of storytellers. Camp will include an open guided discussion about the many different kinds of stories and story-telling , an open guided discussion about what personal storytelling is and how to tell a good personal story. Campers will select a theme for their Tell Us Something event, engage in open discussion about storytelling and stories and workshop their stories. The following week, they will hold the first Tell Us Something Event in Missoula with stories told and produced by youth at the Top Hat on July 7th.
